Some of these substances are carcinogenic, allergenic, irritant… and others release particularly harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

This is why it was important to us to offer you an OEKO TEX certified fabric, a label that aims to guarantee the human-ecological qualities of textiles. In practice, this means: no toxic substances for the body and the environment, no risk to health, a reliable product for the consumer.

Another of our “sustainable” commitments is to work closely with our manufacturing partners.

In order to have full control over our production, all our parts are responsibly manufactured in Europe.

We focus on producing parts in limited quantities to conserve resources and avoid waste.

Our swimwear, summerwear and accessories are made in Portugal, in Porto.

Porto, a place known for its expertise in textile manufacturing and where all our swimsuits are sewn one by one by expert and passionate seamstresses.

Our straw hats are made in France by a family hat-making business renowned for its expertise and labeled “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant”.

We are committed to taking social and environmental responsibility into account throughout our business operations.

These standards are fundamental to our values ​​as a company and we strive to work with partners who share this commitment.

Consider the outside as well as the inside.

Our “sustainable” philosophy extends to packaging and shipping, where we use minimalist packaging for our online orders.

We use recyclable and biodegradable packaging throughout our supply chain.

Our mailing bags are made from plant-based materials like cornstarch and wheat, which replace synthetic materials like petroleum. These bags break down easily and can be placed in your compost bin.

Our swimwear polybags are recyclable and recycled.

And all of our packaging and hanging tags are made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper.

Fashion is the second most polluting industry (after oil) in the world.

We have combined our love of fashion with our love of the oceans to design sustainable and timeless swimwear, using mainly fabrics with ECONYL® yarn, a 100% regenerated nylon fiber, made from nylon waste that would otherwise pollute the Earth, such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, floor mats and industrial plastic recovered from around the world. These fabrics are sourced from the best mills in Italy

When you choose VANESSA SPOSI swimwear made from recycled nylon “waste,” rather than swimwear made from new nylon, you are helping to clean the oceans and reuse nylon waste.

In addition to being a waste-to-energy solution, ECONYL® regenerated nylon is also better for climate change. It reduces nylon’s impact on global warming by up to 90% compared to petroleum-based material.
