Meet the Muse – Mathea Lucchini

Vanessa Sposi: In a few words, can you introduce yourself?
Mathea: My name is Mathea Lucchini, I was born in Paris, I grew up in Montreuil and I have Corsican origins. I am a model, but for the past two years, I have also been developing as a stylist and artistic director, and I love it!
Vanessa Sposi: Where do you get your inspiration?
Mathea: I grew up with cinema thanks to my parents, who gave me a taste for old French cinema, Italian cinema and even slightly absurd American comedies. I learned to analyze films, colors, shapes... and above all to tell a story through images, which is essential in my work.
Vanessa Sposi: What do you think about responsible fashion?
Mathea: Beyond awareness, there is a real reactivity. Brands like Vanessa Sposi dare to get involved, even if it represents a cost and a more limited choice of production to prioritize quality. It's inspiring, especially at a time when fast fashion is omnipresent.
Vanessa Sposi: Do you have any body positive rituals?
Mathea: My job is focused on the physical, so I like to surround myself with very different people so as not to be focused on myself. Also, I remind myself to drink water and, without frustration, I often ask myself: "Do I really want this?"
Vanessa Sposi: A brunch address in Paris?
Mathea: At my mother's, she makes the best brunches! Otherwise, if you want comfort, go to Chez Mamie, Rue des Trois Frères: a small restaurant where you can eat good mashed potatoes or homemade beef bourguignon.
Vanessa Sposi: You've lived in Paris forever, where do you go to escape?
Mathea: It's paradoxical, but I love going to the Louvre and exploring new rooms. You'll never know this museum completely, even if you spend your whole life there! Lately, I've been rediscovering ancient Greece and Egypt... It's my escape.
Vanessa Sposi: A place you dream of discovering?
Mathea: More than a place… I would like to enter Lynch’s head to finally understand Twin Peaks !
